THE FIFTH CHAKRA · VISHUDDHA · Hainan
Communication · Creativity · Conditioned beliefs
Dates: 2026-12-14 — 2026-12-20
Location: Hainan, China
A one-week seminar on transforming fifth-chakra energy with Samudro: communication, creativity and conditioned beliefs. Hainan, China, 14–20 December 2026.
About the process
Everyone wants to be free. To be free from restrictions. To be free as a bird on the wing. But who is placing those limitations upon us? If we are really honest with ourselves, then we will have to say that it is we ourselves who use cages of fear, morality and conditioning. We are like a prisoner who locks himself in a jail. Yet we do this out of our usual habitual unawareness.
We have been raised in a society that has rules, laws and morals that tell us what is right and what is wrong. Whereas it is practical and necessary to raise small children with sets of guidelines on how to live in a society, there comes a point in the development of each individual when they can learn to find their own most intelligent guidelines on how to live the best life. The question of how to balance individuality and social harmony is just one of the multiple issues that we come across when we develop our fifth energy centre — the Vishuddha Chakra, Sanskrit for “completely cleansed, purified, virtuous”.
Physically it is located in the throat and includes the neck, shoulders and up to the mouth. Its major themes are communication, creativity, conditioned beliefs and opening a channel of energy. The throat is where we both receive from the outer world and give out to the world through our communications; it is also where we have stored the verbal messages of our psychological conditioning. Thus a major question in the fifth chakra is whether we communicate the truth of our hearts or repeat our conditioned beliefs.
Creativity is another major theme. Is our creativity really creative, or is it productivity and imitation? The spiritual practice of questioning and self-enquiry is one of the major resources that helps unblock this challenging chakra. Once we purify our Vishuddha we find vast improvements in our work life, and that work and meditation need not be separate.
This one-week seminar includes activities of multiple forms of creativity as well as elements of MBA studies — all presented with IMAP’s understanding of the Chakra Energy System and its journey of spiritual transformation.
