Sāmudro Prem
Psychotherapist, meditation teacher, founder of IMAP
Sāmudro P. Lake, BSc. (Hons) is the Founding Director of The International Multiversity of Awakening Psychology (IMAP), a new psychological perspective for humanity to live wholesomely in the material and spiritual worlds, to awaken into consciousness with compassion.
He has trained in Counselling, Individual and Group Psychotherapy plus meditation facilitation since 1985. He holds a BSc. (Hons) in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy from UK universities. He was born in England in 1960, yet the greater part of his life has been spent travelling to teach in Eastern Europe and Asia. He and his wife Tanmaya are currently based in Alanya, Türkiye; and continue to travel extensively to offer IMAP's courses together.
Since Sāmudro's tenure as a resident therapist at the Osho Multiversity, Pune, India (1987–2009) he uniquely integrated diverse methodologies from psychotherapy, esoteric sciences as well as from traditional and modern meditations — leading to the creation of the five directions of IMAP.
His Sanskrit name, Sāmudroprem, means 'Oceanic Love.'
